Jemma Rooker was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon with a sub-specialist interest in hand and wrist in 2018. Her main areas of interest are hand and wrist injuries and general trauma.
She completed her medical degree at Oxford University in 2005 and went on to complete her specialist training on the Bristol rotation. In 2017 she was awarded the BSSH travelling fellowship to visit America and in 2018 she completed a prestigious ortho-plastic integrated hand fellowship at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
She was awarded the hand diploma in association with Manchester University in 2018. She is an active member of The British Society for Surgery of the Hand. She attended the Bond Solon Excellence in Report Writing – Written Evidence in 2020.
