Paul Barnes is Director of Paul Barnes and Associates Ltd which conducts paid expert witness and forensic accounting services in areas of financial crime. Since 2000, he has acted as an expert witness in various civil cases plus some of the large market abuse, insider dealing and boiler room criminal trials in the UK.

More recently, he has acted as an expert witness or a single joint expert in respect of various civil cases, claims and financial disputes concerning stocks

and shares and retail derivatives, including a class action and a criminal case for the FCA.

The regularly acts as an expert witness/adviser and has acted throughout the world mainly involving stock market abuse, manipulation, insider dealing, frauds and scams, i.e. foreign exchange (forex), contracts for difference (CFD) binary options, spread betting etc.
