I accept instructions as an independent expert witness in criminal and civil matters relating to acupressure, Tui Na Chinese massage, therapeutic touch, holistic hypnotherapy, stress management, coaching practice, safeguarding adults, consent, boundaries and professional conduct within complementary therapy and wellbeing settings.
I have experience acting as an independent expert witness in criminal proceedings, including preparing expert reports in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Rules (CrimPR Part 19), attending court, and presenting independent expert evidence under cross-examination.
My expertise includes the appropriate use of touch-based therapies, client consent, practitioner conduct, ethical boundaries, training standards, anatomical application, recognised acupressure points, scope of practice, record keeping, risk management, safeguarding considerations, and whether actions fall within reasonable professional practice.
I can assist in cases involving acupressure, massage or complementary therapy provision, alleged inappropriate touch, client/practitioner boundaries, therapeutic communication, trauma-informed practice, coaching or hypnotherapy practice, and the standards expected of practitioners working with vulnerable or distressed clients.
My overriding duty is to the court. I provide impartial, evidence-based and reasoned expert opinion.
