Prof Moore is a specialist in Liver Disease (hepatology), and Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (drugs and side effects) and an acute physician.

He is Professor of Hepatology at University College London and the Royal Free London Foundation Trust.  As a general hepatologist Professor Moore has extensive experience in all aspects of liver disease including liver transplantation, alcohol and nutrition.

He has a strong background in basic science with a BSc and Ph.D in Biochemistry and extensive experience in analytical biochemical methods, drug use, drug hepatotoxicity (drugs and the liver).

He was the Associate Editor of three journals (GUT, the American Journal of Pathology, and Free Radical Biology and Medicine).

He is extensively published and cited, and is co-author of The Oxford Handbook of Acute Medicine and conducts research and teaching activities as well as his clinical responsibilities.
