Dr Belinda C Smith can act as an expert witness, including the preparation of medico-legal reports and appearing in court, in clinical negligence cases relating to her specialist areas of expertise.

These include:

General hepatology, viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, pregnancy and liver disease, autoimmune liver disease, liver transplant assessment, haemochromatois and abnormal liver function tests.

She conducts specialist clinics in pregnancy related liver disease (with the Queen Charlotte’s Hospital), autoimmune liver disease, and liver transplant follow up. She also looks after inpatient liver patients at St Mary’s Hospital.

Dr Smith can take instructions on behalf of either claimant or defendant or as a single joint expert.
