Mr Panchmatia is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Trust. He completed a Spine Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA. He was a visiting scholar at the Barrow Neurological Institute, USA (Department of Neurosurgery). Mr Panchmatia was a Fulbright scholar at Harvard University, USA, for his post-graduate degree. Mr Panchmatia studied Medicine at Cambridge University; this included a clinical attachment at Yale University, USA.
Mr Panchmatia has presented internationally, and is published widely in orthopaedic and neurosurgical journals. These include articles in Neurosurgical Focus and the Spine Journal. Topics covered include conditions that affect the cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, and sacrum. Mr Panchmatia is a member of the British Scoliosis Society and the British Association of Spine Surgeons. Mr Panchmatia was awarded the Sir Robert Jones Gold Medal and British Orthopaedic Association prize.
