I have been a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine since October 2004.

My areas of expertise include:

Neurological Rehabilitation:

Rehabilitation following traumatic and other acquired brain injuries.
Rehabilitation of patients with multiple sclerosis/ brain inflammation.
Rehabilitation following spinal cord injury /paraplegia/tetraplegia/spinal infarction/spinal tumours.
Management of cerebral palsy/ birth anoxia in adulthood.
Rehabilitation needs assessment following acquired brain injury.
Rehabilitation following cerebral infections eg meningitis/ encephalitis.
Management of complex neurological disability and general disability.
Assessment of prognosis and life expectancy following catastrophic brain injury.

Amputee Rehabilitation:

Management of patients following major limb amputation.
Others.
Management and prevention of pressure ulcer formation.
Musculo-skeletal rehabilitation.
Management of painful conditions including complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).

Experience and Training for Medico-Legal Work:

I have been providing expert witness reports since 2006 and currently produce about 12 reports per year.
I am able to complete most reports within four weeks of receipt of instructions.
I attend regular training for my role as an expert witness and get appraised for this role on an annual basis.
I am willing to travel widely to see patients and also able to carry out video assessment and desktop reports when appropriate.
