Dr Mohammed ‘Bobby’ Huda is a Consultant Physician in Diabetes/Metabolic Medicine and General Internal Medicine. Honorary Senior Lecturer, at Barts and the London Medical School, Queen Mary, University of London and visiting Senior Lecturer at King’s College London.
He is currently working as a full time NHS consultant in a busy London teaching hospital. His particular clinical focus has been around type 1 diabetes with pump/sensor therapy, diabetes pregnancy, diabetes foot and inpatient diabetes.
Also takes part in the inpatient care of General Medicine patients and Metabolic (including obesity and endocrine) patients, for around 2-3 months of the year, and take part in the specialist on call rota and, undertakes a general endocrinology clinic at Whipps Cross hospital twice a month.
Dr Huda has written medico-legal reports since 2018, usually 4-5 a year, as an Expert witness for the MDU and for other solicitors. This is a mixture of defendant and claimant work (currently ratio approximately 80/20).
He has undertaken specialist Expert Witness training hosted by the Expert Witness Institute. Although not instructed as a Single Joint Expert, he has held conferences with other experts, and prepared joint statements.
He has been a regular medical expert on the Keble Barrister’s Practice Training course since 2013.
Dr Huda has a Honorary Senior lecturer role at Barts and the London Medical School, Queen Mary University, and is a PI on a number of portfolio studies. He also holds significant role in teaching medical students, and in the training of specialist registrars.
He is widely published and has presented many international and national presentations.
