Dr Benjamin Schreiber is a London teaching hospital Consultant Rheumatologist with extensive experience in the preparation of medicolegal reports for civil, criminal and family courts, as well as employment tribunals.

He undertakes over 100 reports and screening opinions annually and acts as Claimant, Defendant and Single Joint Expert. His reports are fully compliant with CPR Part 35 and associated Practice Directions, and are recognised for their clarity, balance and evidence-based reasoning.

Dr Schreiber provides expert opinion across the full spectrum of rheumatological and musculoskeletal disease.

His practice includes inflammatory arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis and palindromic rheumatism), connective tissue diseases such as lupus and vasculitis, gout, osteoporosis and fragility fractures, and chronic pain syndromes including fibromyalgia and complex regional pain syndrome.

He also has experience in connective tissue disease–associated pulmonary hypertension and its functional and prognostic implications.

In personal injury cases, he is frequently instructed in matters involving whiplash, soft tissue injury, road traffic accidents, workplace injury and military-related claims.

In clinical negligence work, his experience includes delayed diagnosis of inflammatory arthritis, missed connective tissue disease, complications of corticosteroid and biologic therapy, and issues relating to monitoring and standard of care.

He provides condition and prognosis reports, breach of duty and causation opinions, joint expert statements and conference with Counsel. He is experienced in giving oral evidence. His opinions focus not only on diagnosis but also on long-term functional impact, employability and future treatment requirements.

Dr Schreiber holds MBBS, MA, MD (Research) and FRCP qualifications. He maintains an active NHS and private clinical practice, ensuring that his opinions reflect current UK standards of care. He undertakes work nationwide.
