I graduated in medicine from the University of Glasgow (1995) and qualified as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Management in 2004.
I currently work 60% in the NHS. I have a regular commitment to the pain management service.
As a recognised GMC trainer and conference speaker, I remain up to date. I hold the Diploma in Legal Medicine. I have a special interest in functional and somatic disorders.
I have been a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine, on the Specialist Register since 2004. I remain in front line clinical practice.
In pain management my specialist areas include persisting post injury or post surgical pain, CRPS, back pain, functional/somatic pain syndromes, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain.
