Dr Deborah Fradkin is a Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, specialising in paediatric burns management and paediatric thoracic anaesthesia.

She has broad expertise across paediatric, neonatal, and general anaesthesia, spanning airway management (difficult/failed intubation), ultrasound-guided vascular access, and anaesthetic management of elective, emergency, and critically unwell, as well as neurodivergent children such as those with autism/ASD and ADHD.

Her clinical practice covers the full perioperative pathway, pre-operative assessment and fitness for anaesthesia, intraoperative monitoring and patient safety, and acute pain management, together with recognition and management of perioperative critical incidents such as awareness, anaphylaxis, and anaesthesia-related injury.

As Course Director for Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS), she brings expertise in paediatric resuscitation and advanced life support, and has a strong record of clinical guideline development, and published research on paediatric sedation and perioperative monitoring.

Dr Fradkin provides clear, well-reasoned, CPR Part 35-compliant reports for both claimant and defendant instructions in clinical negligence and personal injury cases involving adult and paediatric anaesthesia and perioperative care.
