I was a Consultant Neonatologist from 1999 to the end of 2019 when I retired from my NHS clinical duties. As a consultant neonatologist I worked in tertiary level neonatal units covering both medical and surgical conditions.
As well as being a full-time clinician I have also held positions at director level in my Trust and as director for my unit and board positions for the operational delivery network for neonatology in NW London.
I am a Course Director for the European Resuscitation Council New-born Life Support course and continue to teach on those courses. I also continue to teach neonatology and new-born life support in Vietnam.
My clinical practice covered all areas of neonatal medicine, including the medical care of babies with surgical problems and premature infants.
Areas include:
Neonatology, neonatal intensive care, medical management of the surgical baby, birth asphyxia, new-born resuscitation, all aspects of new-born baby care.
I am now retired from NHS clinical practice as from Dec 2019, but I am still accepting new medico-legal cases.
