Dr Jules Brown is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine based at Southmead Hospital, Bristol.
He qualified in 1992 and undertook initial training in General / Internal Medicine (MRCP UK 1995). From 1995 to 2002 he trained in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine (dual accreditation 2002).
Dr Brown was appointed as a Consultant at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol in 2003 and moved to Southmead Hospital when it opened in 2014.
His clinical work is split between intensive care medicine and anaesthesia for trauma and neurosurgery lists and in ICU he cares for patients from most specialties including neurosurgery, trauma, obstetrics, burns and most medical sub-specialties.
Dr Brown is an Examiner for the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine. He holds an Honorary Research contract at the University of Bristol.
Dr Brown has over 14 years medico-legal experience including medical negligence, criminal and coronial Courts. He writes expert reports on Intensive Care Medicine, Sepsis, Trauma and Anaesthesia. He aims to provide reports within 2 weeks of receipt of the medical records.
