I have spent 29 years working as a medical practitioner in obstetrics and gynaecology practice.
For the last 19 years I have worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in emergency gynaecology care, laparoscopic and major gynaecological surgery and gynaecological cancer care.
During this time, I was lead clinician for Gynaecological cancer and colposcopy, I was an appraiser for Consultant Medical Staff at the Trust, I carried out internal investigations of clinical incidents at the Trust and I was an Educational Supervisor for senior doctors in training.
For 4 years, I worked as the Clinical Director for the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Division and was the Obstetric and Gynaecological Governance Lead.
I have recently left NHS employment and work full time as a Consultant Gynaecologist in the private medical sector and carry out NHS contract work in gynaecology along with medicolegal practice. I am an honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manchester.
