Dr Sanjay Suri is a Consultant Paediatrician in Child Health with 23 years’ experience in a District General Hospital in the UK. He has a total of 35 years’ experience as a qualified Paediatrician.

During his career, he worked in acute and community Paediatrics and has expertise in Paediatric neuro-disability. Dr Suri is not a Paediatric Neurologist nor a Clinical Psychologist.

He has worked in neonatal care looking after premature babies from 23 weeks’ gestation onwards. His neuro-disability expertise includes cerebral palsy, spina bifida, genetic syndromes, sensory deficits such as vision and/or hearing impairment, global developmental delay and autism.

He can provide reports in children and young people up to their 19th birthday.

He has been the named doctor for safeguarding at his local trust (2008-2009) and contributed Serious Case Review investigations. He was a safeguarding level 3 training facilitator and has led on audits on Looked after children (June 2009); Neonatal abstinence syndrome (Nov 2009) and Baby checks (June 2009)

He also has 20 years’ experience in medicolegal work and has attended the Bond Solon expert witness report writing course in 2022. He has also attended a mini-pupillage and courtroom skills course in the past. Dr Suri can provide a report within 4 weeks after receiving an instruction and agreeing the terms of engagement.

He has been providing expert medico legal advice since 2003 and has completed numerous reports for:

  • Medico-legal reports for Expedia, Mobile Doctors, Premex and others.
  • Medico-legal reports for child protection purposes and looked after children.
  • Attendance at court in child protection cases.
  • Attendance at coroner’s inquests.
  • Safeguarding reports and Police statements.

He has completed witness skills and expert witness report writing training and can provide the following types of reports

  • Condition and prognosis.
  • Personal injury.
  • Clinical negligence.
  • Negligence.
  • Safeguarding on a case by case basis on civil cases only (not criminal).

General Paediatrics (0-18).
Paediatric neurodisability (0-18).
I would like to provide expertise in negligence cases.
I would prefer if the client did not need an examination.
