I am a specialist Speech and Language Therapist with over 20 years experience working with adults.

My clinical practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of adults with complex communication and swallowing difficulties arising from stroke, traumatic brain injury, progressive neurological conditions, and prolonged disorders of consciousness.

I also have specialist experience in voice (Ear, Nose and Throat) disorders, adult stammering, and adult speech sound disorders.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am a Senior Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy and an active researcher in the field of stroke and brain injury.

I am internationally recognised for my expertise in severe and global aphasia following stroke or brain injury Since 2019, I have also undertaken expert witness work, preparing reports for claimant and defendant solicitors in personal injury, clinical negligence and court of protection cases.
