I have worked full time as a Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine since 2005 and since 2013, my post has been at the busy tertiary referral centre Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

The emergency department at BCH sees over 60000 children per year, and we are a major trauma centre covering the whole of the West Midlands.

I am the lead clinician in the Trust for the major trauma service. I have extensive experience in the management of seriously ill and seriously injured children. I also have a wealth of experience in the appropriate management of more minor injuries and illnesses.

My scope of practice is limited to cases involving children under the age of 16 at the time of incident.
