Adam has vast experience working in a wide variety of industries including engineering, aerospace and automotive, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, quarrying and stone working, manufacturing, construction, joinery and others.
Adam holds the Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene and is a licentiate member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society.
Adam is an occupational hygiene specialist, including both airborne and skin exposure to hazardous substances, resulting in respiratory, dermal or other ill health.
Substances of concern include dusts including respirable crystalline silica, exhaust fumes from vehicles and machinery, welding fume, lead, volatile organic compounds, isocyanates, acids, ozone and gases including simple and chemical asphyxiants.
Occupational health conditions resulting from physical factors such as temperature, airflow, humidity, lighting and odour which can lead to poor indoor air quality.
Microbiological contaminants including moulds, fungi and bacteria, especially Aspergillus spp.
