I am a consultant surgeon at UCLH, a large central London teaching hospital. I have 21 years post fellowship surgical experience in the field of laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery. My clinical areas of expertise includes:

Laparoscopic surgery.
Bariatric surgery and weight loss surgery.
Obesity surgery, gastric bypass and mini-gastric bypass.
Sleeve gastrectomy and gastric band.
Hernia – inguinal, abdominal wall, incisional, umbilical and sports hernia.
Gallbladder surgery – cholecystectomy, gallstones.
Anti-reflux surgery – fundoplication, hiatus hernia, acid reflux, heartburn.
Emergency surgery – appendix, perforated ulcer, trauma.
General surgery.

In addition, I have managerial experience, particularly in Medical Clinical Governance. I am actively involved in teaching both under-graduate and post-graduate students. I have published and presented in my field of expertise with over 80 citations.

I am a trained expert witness and am developing a medico-legal practice dealing with both personal injury and alleged clinical negligence cases.
