I am an expert in flight operations, airline management, and pilot training. I have more than 10,000 flight hours of experience as a pilot and training captain in airlines and business aviation, operating aircraft ranging from 9-seat business jets (Challenger 3500) to 300-seat airliners (Boeing 777).
I spent more than ten years as an inspector for aviation authorities, including the UK CAA and EASA.
As Director of McKechnie Aviation LTD, I support aircraft operators, pilot-training companies, and national aviation authorities. I have an MBA and have held interim management positions, including “nominated person” for pilot training and flight operations.
I have prepared reports for passengers, insurers, crew members and airports. Topics have included accidents, injuries, operating procedures, pilot training, unfair dismissal and unfair competition.
I have given evidence in courts and tribunals in England and the Republic of Ireland.
