My medicolegal work started in 1994 reporting on the outcome of small hand injuries. As I became more experienced I was instructed for both claimant and defendant and the cases increased in complexity.
I continue to enjoy standard hand injury work but have had over the last 15 years an increasing workload of complex cases. I am now regularly instructed in catastrophic injuries to report on brachial plexus injuries and complex upper limb trauma.
Again this work is for both claimant and defendant.
I accept instructions on all aspects of Hand or Nerve Injuries. I have 30 years experience as a Hand and Nerve surgeon in one of the largest hand surgery centres in Europe.
I have worked extensively in the field of work related upper limb conditions reporting for both defence and claimant.
I work extensively in the field of medical negligence again for both claimant and defence.
I have also undertaken defence work in the criminal field of HSE prosecutions.
I have prepared reports for both English and Scottish systems.
