Darrell is a highly experienced Drug Expert Witness, having spent time investigating the illegal drug supply arena from user dealers supplying a £10 bag to international conspiracies trafficking millions of pounds of class A, B and C drugs he has acquired an extensive knowledge of all facets of the illegal drug trafficking industry.

Darrell has been involved with the drugs industry since the early 90’s when serving in the Royal Navy, then joining the Metropolitan Police and working with the National Crime Agency until 2016.

In January 2016 he set up the Metropolitan Police Service Drug Expert Witness Unit. This involved the recruitment, training, mentoring, continued personal development of drug experts and the quality assurance of numerous drug expert reports.

Darrell has assessed evidence involving Heroin, Cocaine, Crack, Crystal Meth, Amphetamine, MDMA, ecstasy, GBL, Ketamine, Khat, the Chemsex environment, different forms of Cannabis and many other class A, B and C controlled substances and given his opinion in relation to these commodities along with supply activity / adulterants / cutting agents / county Lines / dealer lists / record keeping / commodity profiles and many other facets of the drug supply industry at numerous crown courts.

He has been involved in thousands of reports and shows rationale based on his experience and understanding, showing a conclusion which will identify involvement, values and potentially an alternative view to law enforcement.
