I am a Consultant Neurosurgeon practicing at The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. I took up my post in 2013 after having previously been a Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.
I am the Neurosurgical Lead for Neuro-oncology and Neuro-trauma and chair the respective MDTs. Bristol Children’s Hospital is one of the UK’s busiest paediatric trauma and neuro-oncological centres.
As a Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon, I provide elective and emergency paediatric neurosurgery services across all aspects of paediatric neurosurgery except epilepsy surgery.
My sub-specialist interest are neonatal neurosurgery, paediatric neuro-oncology, trauma, and hydrocephalus, and these have formed the basis of my research interests.
In 2025 I was part of the team that led the paediatric neuro-oncology service at Bristol Children’s Hospital to achieve Tessa Jowell Centre of Excellence status.
I have provided medico-legal reports for 7-8 years, averaging 15-25 reports per year.
I have represented NHS Scotland, NHS Wales, NHS Resolutions, the GMC, the MDDUS, a number of Coroner’s offices and have a near equal split of defendant:claimant ratio in personal injury and clinical negligence cases via solicitors in the UK and Ireland.
