Iain Sallis is a Consultant Trichologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience in the investigation and management of hair and scalp disorders.
He has examined and advised on thousands of cases involving hair loss, scalp disease, cosmetic hair damage, and hairdressing-related complaints.
He acts as an Expert Witness in civil litigation and provides independent expert opinion for Claimants, Defendants, insurers, solicitors, and the Courts. Instructions are accepted on both a CPR Part 35 Single Joint Expert basis and as a party-appointed expert.
Mr Sallis combines extensive trichological knowledge with practical hairdressing expertise, providing a unique perspective in cases involving cosmetic procedures, chemical treatments, hair damage, and alleged negligence within the hairdressing industry.
He is Director of Hairmedic Ltd and Hairmedic Solutions Ltd, Treasurer of the European Hair Research Society, International Director of the Association of Professional Trichologists, and Chair of the Trichology Sub-Committee of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery.
He is also Co-Chief Editor of the Medical textbook ‘Strands of Science’.
