Jason Hill is a Chartered Fire Engineer with National Security Clearance (SC) and extensive experience in fire engineering, fire safety and technical investigation.
His work includes high-risk buildings, nuclear, transport and other highly regulated sectors, with experience in both UK and international projects.
Jason has contributed to post-Grenfell industry and government working groups on fire engineering (working group 3) and fire risk assessment (working group 4), supporting the development of competency criteria for fire risk assessment and fire engineering.
He is active across several fire safety and engineering bodies.
He chaired the Nuclear Industry Fire Safety Coordination Committee from 2017 to 2019 and holds senior roles with the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), including Chair of the Special Interest Group for Industrial Fire and Risk, Senior Examiner and Ethics Committee member.

BSI Committee member for BS 7974-6.
IFE co-member for PAS 9980:2021 and the 2025 update, covering fire risk appraisal and assessment of external wall construction and cladding.
BSI Technical Steering Group member for means of escape for disabled people and construction technologies, design and usage.
