Mr John Boucher is Building Envelopes Expert with over 39 years’ experience in the field. He founded Oculus in 2007 to provide expertise in the façade and building envelope sector.

John’s expertise is in the façade/envelope sector of the construction industry. Facades: curtain wall, rainscreen cladding (aluminium, stone and terracotta etc), windows and general fenestration, bolted glass, balustrades, insulated render systems masonry (Brick and stone).

Roofing: Glazed roof structures, Single ply membranes, built up felt and hot melt.

Qualifications

Construction: MSc Facade Engineering at the University of Bath & HND Building Studies. Legal: Level 7 Advanced professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence: Thomas Telford.

John has given oral evidence as Expert Witness under cross examination at the ICC International Court of Arbitration, County Court, London, DIFC-LCIA Arbitration (UAE), Supreme High Court Singapore and at The Royal Courts of Justice, London;
