John Paul Segers is the founder and Principal Consultant of SegCorr Ltd, with 29 years of international experience in corrosion control, cathodic protection design, and infrastructure life-extension engineering.
He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Fellow of the Institute of Corrosion (FICorr), a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM), and holds a Master’s degree in Corrosion Control Engineering.
John Paul is one of a small number of UK practitioners certified to BS EN ISO 15257 Level 5 Cathodic Protection Expert for Reinforced Concrete Structures, the highest competence level defined in the international standard.
He also holds BS EN ISO 15257 Level 4 Specialist status across all other CP sectors, and is a NACE/AMPP Certified Corrosion Specialist and Certified Cathodic Protection Specialist (CP4).
His technical expertise covers cathodic protection design, corrosion prevention and control, deterioration and failure investigation, whole-life planning, and infrastructure life-extension strategy.
He is also provides independent CPD-accredited online CP and corrosion training, in-person industrial presentations, and university teaching.
