Mr. Jonathan Durnian is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in all aspects of general ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology. He was previously based at Royal Liverpool University NHS Trust as lead clinician for neuro-ophthalmology as well as being an honorary consultant at the Walton Centre, specialising in both adult strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology.
Mr. Durnian has published 31 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has spoken at international meetings, worldwide on all aspects of ophthalmology but mainly in the field of adult strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology.
Mr. Durnian works as an expert witness in all areas of general ophthalmology as well the more specialised area of neuro-ophthalmology, dealing with complex cases of both visual loss following the delayed diagnosis of brain tumours and the complex visual problems following catastrophic brain injury.
Mr. Durnian has successfully completed the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Witness Certificate in Civil Law and completes between 120-130 reports a year. Medical reports will be clear, concise and precise. All reports have a turn-around time of 4 weeks or less, which can be expedited if required.
Mr. Durnian can see clients in his Cheshire or Liverpool examination rooms. Home visits can be arranged and from experience, home visits for patients with catastrophic brain injury tend to be a much better option for the patients and their carers.
