Mr Matthew John Mawdsley is a fellowship trained Consultant Spinal Surgeon, based in Northumbria.

He attended the University of Manchester and completed his higher specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the Northern Deanery. He was awarded Surgical College Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS) in 2016.

This was followed in 2017 by admission to the General Medical Council Specialist Register and award of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT).

Mr Matthew John Mawdsley is a fellowship trained Consultant Spinal Surgeon, based in Northumbria and his specialist interests include assessment and both surgical and non-surgical treatment of adult spinal conditions and general orthopaedic trauma.

Mr Mawdsley is actively involved in research and has had his work published.
