I have been a recognised Expert Witness since 2010. I am a Executive member of The Pharmacy Law and Ethics Association (PLEA).

My spheres of civil and criminal areas of competence include: Community Pharmacy including Appliance Contractors Wholesale Pharmacy, Prison Pharmacy, Dispensing Doctor Dispensing Appeals to NHS Resolution relating to Community Pharmacists and Dispensing Doctor Practices Controlled Drugs, the Author of ‘ Controlled Drugs in Primary Care- the Law, Probity and Good Practice.’

All aspects of commercial and forensic including fraud in Community Pharmacy. Expertise in remuneration of community, dispensing doctors and appliance contractors especially relating to the drug tariff.

Adviser to and member of National Prescribing Centre and Department of Health “Controlled Drugs Focus Group”. Adviser to Shipman Judicial Inquiry and attendee at its Controlled Drugs Seminars. Witness as to both fact and opinion.

Previous experience includes several reports for the Department of Health concerning the provision of pharmaceutical services by appliance contractors, community pharmacies and dispensing doctor contractors. Supplier of expert advice concerning revision of parts VIII and IX of the Drug Tariff.

Confidential and Expert Witness Reports have also been commissioned by the Police, Healthcare Professional Defence associations, liability insurers and Health Authorities, civil and criminal law Solicitors.

Expert Witness for inquests and extradition cases. I have recently been an Expert Witness in Cardiff Crown Court in a very serious criminal case regarding pharmaceutical procedures.

I have compiled 16 EWRs in the last three years. I have also compiled EWR’s for healthcare accountants.
