I am a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 35 years experience who specialises in the areas of corporate and business/ partnership valuations, Expert Witness and forensic investigative accountancy, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions.
Acting either as a Single Joint Expert (SJE) or an Party Appointed Expert and Shadow Adviser I provide valuation evidence and opinion of financial matters in legal proceedings.
I have been involved in a range of litigation cases including Matrimonial finance and divorce cases, Partnership disputes and LLP Member disputes, Shareholder disputes, Unfairly Prejudicial claims, corporate finance related disputes and negotiations with HMRC.
Commercial disputes I have been involved with include Completion accounts, breach of warranty claims, assessment of commercial losses, share saleability, minority discounts reviewing and challenging Form E disclosures.
I also act in Mediations or Collaborative legal processes. Additionally I value shares in Probate cases and non-contentious situations.
Most qualified forensic accountants are competent to advise on valuation but not liquidity or if required deal structures as unlike me they are not involved in the raising of corporate finance or buying and selling of companies.
Accordingly they genuinely do not have the experience to comment on liquidity. As a time served specialist corporate financier, I regularly raise finance for clients and assist clients both buying and selling companies.
