Mr Elledge is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer with the College of Medical and Dental Sciences at the University of Birmingham.
He also has private practices based at Ramsay Health The Westbourne Centre in Birmingham, Circle Health The Priory Hospital in Birmingham, HCA The Harborne Hospital in Birmingham and Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull.
His clinical practice encompasses oral surgery, benign salivary gland pathology, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and surgery, Maxillofacial trauma and skin cancer and he is prepared to take clinical negligence instructions in these areas, including commentary on nerve injuries from third molar (wisdom tooth) surgery.
In the field of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery he is internationally recognised as a former National Lead for the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery TMJ Subsecialist Interest Group (SSIG) and Full Member of the European Society of TMJ Surgeons (ESTMJS).
With colleagues, he created the Elledge classification of extended temporomandibular joint replacements (eTMJRs).
He is one of a handful of surgeons able to provide advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery and total alloplastic joint replacement of the TMJ.

In his skin cancer practice, he is Training Interface Group (TIG) Fellowship-trained, performs around 250 cases per annum and is an active member of a skin cancer multidisciplinary team (MDT).
He has published on this topic, including a book chapter on Mohs micrographic surgery in one of the best established core Maxillofacial Surgery textbooks.
He is also happy to be instructed on personal injury cases including facial fractures and soft tissue injuries.
He maintains an active on call commitment to one of the busiest Major Trauma Centres in the United Kingdom, accepting both military and civilian casualties through its doors on a daily basis.
