I am a forensic document examiner with over 20 years of experience spanning police and private laboratories. My work focuses on providing objective expert evidence for civil and criminal proceedings, domestic and international courts, and arbitration tribunals.
As a Co-Director of QD Examiners Limited, I work alongside fellow expert Hannah Pocock, offering clients over 30 years of combined forensic laboratory experience.
To maintain the highest standards of scientific accuracy, all casework undergoes independent peer review before reporting. Both Hannah and I accept casework instructions, and Legal Aid funding is accepted.
Our laboratory is equipped with specialised forensic instrumentation, including a Video Spectral Comparator and Projectina Inspec 8S for the non-destructive examination of documents using varied light sources, and Electrostatic Detection Apparatus (ESDA) to visualise the presence of indented writing impressions.
Expert Witness Services Include:
Disputed Handwriting & Signatures: Examination of signatures and handwriting on contested wills, TR1 forms, credit agreements, anonymous letters and other documents.
Document Integrity & Authenticity: Assessment of printed, photocopied and typewritten documents to identify potential alterations, page substitutions or additions.
Ink Comparison: Non-destructive analysis of ink entries to determine consistency or the use of multiple writing instruments.
Indented Impressions: Utilising ESDA to visualise latent indented writing on documents.
Document Reconstruction: Physical reconstruction of torn or shredded documents.
