I have worked exclusively in neurological conditions since 1995. I have particular expertise in head injury gained firstly from ten years as a lead Psychologist in a neurorehabilitation NHS unit and since 2010 as an independent clinician taking instructions for medico legal assessment and therapy.
My aims are to enable clients to engage in assessment to best explore their functioning and describe the effects of their brain injury in my report and if required in court and to do so highlighting the most subtle difficulties by building trust and conducting a detailed, holistic assessment.
I also have experience in assessing mental capacity and in progressive conditions and criminal cases. I also conduct home visits when appropriate.
Areas of expertise include:
Psychological difficulties, adjustment, identity, depression, anxiety, PTSD, concussion, mild head injury, memory, cognitive, executive impairment, relationships, social functioning, insight, prognosis, formulation, effort, employment parkinson’s disease.
