I am a highly respected nurse with nearly 15 years of post-qualification experience. I became a Queen’s Nurse in 2019, an honorary title awarded for my high level of commitment to patient care and nursing practice.
I am an independent professional nurse expert with experience in hospitals, community settings, nursing homes and private sector healthcare settings.
My areas of expertise are in women’s health, wound care, and long-term conditions management, particularly diabetes and asthma.
As a practice nurse, I currently divide my time between urgent care and as lead nurse within primary care while maintaining a senior leadership role within a general practice. I also teach and accredit courses for healthcare professionals.
In addition to nursing, I manage safeguarding, quality, governance, and infection control and I am experienced in investigating and reporting on serious incidents and breaches of duty.
As an expert witness, I have prepared numerous breach of duty reports in England and Wales for the Court. I have received training in and understand the litigation process and my duties under the Civil Procedure Rules pertaining to expert witnesses and Part 35.
Fundamental to my work as an expert witness is to consistently act with fairness and integrity.
