Sue qualified as a general nurse in 1980, remaining clinically active in secondary care until 2020, with extensive experience in rehabilitation.

She retained her NMC registration in January 2025 by demonstrating over 1,500 hours of practice and 308 hours of educational/professional development.

Sue supports the Spinal Injuries Association, contributing articles, delivering talks on bladder and bowel management, and assisting the SIA Peer Support Officer in Wales with community education for healthcare professionals.

Sue has undertaken numerous high-value cases for both Claimant and Defendant. Highly respected for her expertise, she is known for being helpful, engaging, and communicative.

Since 2012, Sue has written over 600 reports, including 157 on nursing standards and 22 Loss of Service reports. She has participated in numerous joint statement meetings and case conferences and has provided oral evidence in Civil and Coroners Court on six occasions.
