Tina is the founder of 121 Captions and leads the company with the benefit of her lifelong lived experience as a captioning consumer. She holds degrees in Business, Japanese, and Careers Guidance in Higher Education.

She is an experienced expert witness and forensic lipreader with 35 years’ commercial experience lipreading video footage for solicitors, courts, private investigators, the media, and private clients. In addition, she brings 50 years of daily lipreading experience.

She is certified as an Expert Witness Forensic Lipreader by the Deafness Cognition and Language Research Centre at University College London. She is also a qualified lipreading teacher, certified by the Association of Teachers of Lipreading to Adults (ATLA).

Based in London, Tina leads a team of professional lipreaders located in the UK, Israel, and Canada.

121 Captions works on videos without a soundtrack, undertakes live assignments, and acts as an interpreter, supporting individuals without a voice by lipreading and providing voiceover in the courtroom where required.

The company also provides transcripts and expert witness forensic lipreading reports. Its lipreaders work in eight languages: English, Flemish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

In addition to forensic lipreading, 121 Captions provides speech-to-text reporters, court reporters, court transcripts, depositions, transcription services, and sign language interpreters..
