• Cardiology, specialization in coronary intervention and valve diseases.
• Provides care for patients with ischemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, simple arrhythmias, syncope/blackouts, hypertension, dyslipidaemia.
• Proficient in cardiology procedures including coronary angiograms with intervention (PTCA and stenting) (elective, urgent and emergencies), ILR and single/dual permanent pacemaker implantations, external DC cardioversions, and Balloon Aortic Valvuloplasty (BAV).
• Leads multi-disciplinary team (MDT) service for management of complex cardiac patients at Stepping Hill Hospital/Manchester Royal Infirmary and previously Director of Cardiac Catheter Lab (SHH).
• Certified ‘super appraiser’, responsible for evaluating the practice of all grades of doctors, including consultants.
