Professor Saxena provides expert witness services in the field of pain medicine. He has trained extensively in medicolegal report writing including accreditation through Cardiff University Bond-Solon.

His clinical expertise lies in diagnosing painful conditions, prognosticating its course and planning its interdisciplinary management.

He manages all painful conditions, although a large proportion of work revolves around patients with musculoskeletal conditions (esp. low back pain/ spinal pain), post- traumatic pain, post-surgical pain, neuropathic pain (including complex regional pain syndrome) and fibromyalgia.

Professor Saxena is the director of Pain Management Wales. As a leading group providing pain management in South Wales, Pain Management Wales looks after many clients for whom pain is a barrier to rehabilitation, and can offer a full assessment and treatment service.

Professor Saxena and his team offer comprehensive multidisciplinary treatment for patients who require it within the medicolegal process, for example for those with interim payments and final settlements.
