Consultant Cardiologist and Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine. I provide expert advice on all areas of cardiology including cardiomyopathy, coronary disease, heart valve disease and aortic disease.

I was head of cardiac imaging and physiology in Oxford for 10 years until 2022, and I am a specialist in diagnostic testing, including all forms of cardiac imaging and functional cardiac assessment.

I have produced many research publications and am editor of three Handbooks in Cardiology.

I produce 50-70 expert reports a year, for both claimant and defence teams, including many national solicitors, the Medical Protection Society and Medical Defence Union, and I am also an expert witness for the GMC.

My experience includes many civil and criminal cases, employment tribunals, as well as the Court of Protection.

I have been formally trained in Expert Witness work, and hold Bond Solon Cardiff University Expert Witness certificates in both civil and criminal law.
