I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon (GMC: 6168678) at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool, specialising in major trauma and limb reconstruction surgery.
In addition to my clinical role I am an Associate Professor in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at the University of Oxford. I hold a PhD with research focused on traumatic injuries to the lower limb.
My clinical practice and expertise encompasses the full spectrum of orthopaedic trauma care, including general musculoskeletal injuries and more complex reconstructions.
I have particular expertise in managing high-energy trauma, complex fractures, post-traumatic deformities, bone and implant-related infections, and complications such as non-union and malunion. I also have experience in the treatment of ballistic and gunshot injuries.
Areas of Expertise in Personal Injury (including but not limited to):
Minor Injuries: Whiplash, soft tissue injuries of the neck and spine, minor musculoskeletal trauma, and general orthopaedic injuries to the upper and lower limbs.
Complex Trauma and Limb Reconstruction: Management of patients with multiple injuries, open (compound) fractures, intra-articular fractures, non-unions, malunions, bone and implant-related infections, and limb length discrepancies.
