Nick specialises in Narrative Therapy. He draws on storytelling and creative arts in his approach.
He works with those experiencing bereavement (particularly child loss), body image issues, and recovery from interpersonal distress (e.g., domestic violence, bullying, school-based trauma, etc.).
He works with children (8+ years) and adults.
He offers strength-based and person-centred assessments to children, young people and adults, from birth. He covers vast areas of need, including learning, social interaction and communication, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
He uses both dynamic assessments – which emphasises what the person can do when they have the right support – and standardised assessments as necessary and suitable to the situation.
He has taken instruction in the following areas:
Special Educational Needs (all areas including extended appeals).
Educational negligence (e.g., HRA Protocol 1, Article 2 and Equality Act).
Clinical negligence (i.e., condition, prognosis, and quantum).
Capacity (e.g., DOLS, CoP).
Trauma-responses (including attachment-related, mental health, and child loss).
