Works as a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Beacon, Child and Adolescent Inpatient Unit in Leicester.

– Attachment Disorder, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.
– Neurodevelopmental Disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
– Eating Disorders, Psychosis, Schizophrenia.

With nearly 25 years of experience, has worked in both public and private sectors, including the Independent Sector in Eating Disorders. Specialist in the inpatient care of the most complex patients who cannot be managed in the community.

Has good understanding of the different psychotherapeutic techniques like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Family Therapy. Comfortable using the second- and third-line medication for complex patients.
Section 12 approved, under the Mental Health Act, 1983.
Been writing Tribunal reports for over 20 years and give evidence regarding the appropriateness of detention and treatment.
