I am a triple fellowship-trained Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in complex Shoulder and Elbow trauma in multiply injured patients, their prognosis as well as soft tissue shoulder injuries.
I am a consultant at Cambridge University Hospitals, which is the Major Trauma Centre for East Anglia and deals with the majority of the region’s complex trauma.
I have a specialist interest in degenerative shoulder diseases and shoulder replacements, especially from shoulder overuse (as a consequence of spinal cord injuries, amputees and severe lower limb injuries), plus the effects of peripheral nerve injuries on shoulder function.
I have expertise in soft tissue shoulder injuries, which builds upon my PhD in Orthopaedic Surgery from Oxford University focused on rotator cuff healing in the shoulder.
I accept instructions for all aspects of general shoulder and elbow orthopaedics including but not limited to:
• complex shoulder and elbow trauma.
• multiply injured polytrauma patients.
• amputations.
• post-traumatic complications including arthritis.
• infections and revisions.
• non-unions.
• open fractures.
• soft tissue shoulder and elbow injuries.
• sports injuries.
• road traffic accidents.
• industrial accidents.
