I am a Consultant Psychiatrist based in private clinical practice in Glasgow, with a specialist training in Adult Mental Health. I have 30 years’ experience as an NHS Consultant and in senior medical management, and also hold an academic post at the University of Glasgow.

Clinical interests and experience include depression, anxiety, suicide prevention and the adult consequences of trauma and childhood adversity. Management experience includes the design and implementation of risk management systems, including clinical assessment of suicide risk, staff training, communication and the inpatient environment of care.

I have experience in providing reports for civil law claims in cases of personal injury, clinical negligence, employment and exposure to trauma, adversity, abuse and neglect, including cases of historical child abuse.

I gained a Certificate of Accreditation as a Civil Expert Witness by Cardiff University in July 2020. Reports are usually provided within 10 days of the assessment date.
