I am a CUBS trained expert witness. I am a qualified psychologist and therapist. I have provided expert testimony in litigation proceedings involving family disputes (including child protection), criminal prosecutions (Education Act s.444), personal injury, clinical negligence, disability discrimination, special educational needs, and HCPC Tribunal Service.
I undertake circa 90 expert witness cases per year.
I work primarily with children and young adults, from birth-to-25-years. I also work with older adults (26-years and over), where the index injury/incident relates to childhood (<=25-years) or family matters.
Within this, I have particular expertise and interests in premature birth, low birth weight, and infant death as a result of clinical negligence or injury, autism including autistic burnout and complex neurodiversity profiles (e.g., co-occurring autism and one or more of a learning disability, mental health need, or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis, such as ADHD).
Also School non-attendance, childhood mental health (including trauma responses, suicide ideation, and self-injury), bereavement (particularly, out-of-sequence loss and parental death), attachment, literacy acquisition and dyslexia, recovery/bespoke/creative curriculums, complex ethical matters, and person-centred practices.
