I worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon at Leeds Hospitals from 2001 until 2016 and was Clinical Lead for Trauma from 2014-2016. I was appointed Professor of Sports Medicine at Leeds Beckett University in 2017.

I have produced over 100 original publications and am the author of a textbook on Orthopaedic Examination.

My areas of expertise are:

Foot & ankle, knee and lower limb trauma. In particular tibial plateau fractures, pilon fractures, tibial and fibular fractures, ankle fractures, talus fractures, calcaneal fractures, navicular and mid foot fractures, Lisfranc fracture dislocations, metatarsal and toe fractures.

I also deal with the complications including post-traumatic knee arthritis, ankle arthritis, subtalar arthritis, talonavicular arthritis, mid foot arthritis including navicular-cuneiform and tarsometatarsal joint arthritis, and metatarsophalangeal arthritis.

Other complications I manage include avascular necrosis, non-union & delayed union of fractures, and soft tissue crush injuries.

I am now taking instructions in London at the Wellington Hospital, Platinum Medical Centre, 15-17 Lodge Road, London NW8 7JA.

I also see medicolegal patients at the Spire Hospital, Jackson Avenue, Roundhay, Leeds LS8 1NT.

I also manage soft tissue foot & ankle injuries including lateral ankle ligament injuries such as the anterior talofibular ligament(ATFL) and calcaneofibular ligament (CFL), ankle syndesmosis injuries, deltoid ligament injuries, and Achilles tendon rupture.

I also manage patients with meniscus and cruciate ligament injuries.
